Guest guest
I've had long day at work and came home tired and sore. I sit at the computer sceen, check my E mail, and check out the surfacehippy group. I know that there are alot of people like me and alot of people worse off than me that check on the surfacehippy site to be encouraged about the prospect of hip resurfacing. I'm beginning to think, why are we all so civilized and respectful? It would be one thing if we suffered from a disease that had no cure or suppression of symptoms, but we have a condition that has a very good chance of being allieviated if we get a procedure done promptly before worse damage is done! Is it arrogance of the medical profession that only US developed products have value? Europe is over 10 years ahead of us. We don't need more " study " , the test subjects are walking around Europe. If the insurance companies had any smarts they would realize that hip resurfacing would save them a ton of money, (better prognosis, less revision surgery later on). We would not allow a dog to be treated like this yet we allow ourselves to be mistreated by the medical and insurance industry. We should make the lives of the people who hinder effective treatment as uncomfortable as they have made ours! The only things we have to loose are our canes, crutches and gimpy gaits.
