Good luck with the wisdom teeth, Stacey. Find out if the oral surgeon can put

you out for the procedure in case you don't freeze up very well with novacaine

or whatever they use now.

I had my bottom ones out when I had just turned 18 as they were super impacted.

I looked like a chipmunk afterwards with the puffy cheeks. 5 months later I had

the top ones taken out but those were a piece of cake compared to the bottom

ones. I have to have double the novacaine shots to numb me up.

Are you clenching your jaw during the day or at night that you may not have

clued into??? Is that why your teeth are hurting or is it from the wisdom teeth.

Hi Bonnie

I am definitly going to make sure that the oral surgeon can put me

out for the procedure. Wow, I cant imagine having to go through it

twice! Just once is scareing me enough!! I am really hopping I dont

get too swollen and bruised but I know that I will. Just hope I

wont scare r too much :) I dont think that I clench my jaw, at

least I am pretty sure that I dont. Its only the side with the one

tooth coming out and the other one starting to that hurts. I am

finding though that I have been taking an asprine with codeine (325

mg asprine, 8mg codiene, 8mg caffine) every four hours and it is

good. Tried with ibprufin and normal asprin but needed the extra

little bit of codeine for it to work well. Thank you for your

reply :)

Hi Stacey,

It sounds promising witht he dentisit. One thing to double check with the

surgeon is that their insurance policy might not allow him to do a general

anesthetic in the office if you have asthma. I had to go to the hospital

for the last dental surgery. Unfortunately, I had all my wisdom teeth out

in the chair and I didn't freeze worth a darn!

Good luck!
