Guest guest
First off i want to thank Rhea for asking about me. It means a lot to know that you were concerned. Also thank you to Lana for letting her (and everyone else) that I was okay. Well as Lana said I wasnt able to get anywhere during the day here but once mom got off work she came home and we called the pharmasist who advised me to go to the ER. Dad decided that he would go with me and mom would stay home with r. We got to the ER shortly before 6. Well because I listed one of my symptoms as chills and a slight fever I had to go pee in a cup before I even was called to see a doctor! We go back to the triage area and sit and wait in a little cubicle for a while. The nurse comes in and checks my vitals (everything was perfect) and takes a few notes. Then the doctor comes in and has me and dad move to a private room accross the hall. He then questions me about everything and listens to my breathing. He tells me that my urine sample had a trace of blood in it and that could be an infection. So he says he is going to send it to the lab and leaves. Next thing I know a nurse is coming in with a tray full of blood work stuff!! I HATE having blood work done. I told her I had to lie down and she said okay but which is your good arm so I know which way to lay you. I just laughed and said good luck and put both my arms out. She decided on the left (weird usually the right is better) and did it (It HURT:() I stayed laying down for a while then someone came in and told me I had to take off my shirt and bra and put on a gown for chest xrays. I went and got them done then we came back to the triage area and waited. And waited. And waited! Finally the doctor comes to get me and tells me I have a urinary infection (figure out how that comes about when you go in cause you cant breathe right lol). He thinks that it may be the MS contin increase causing the problems but isnt sure. He gave me two options. 1) go back to the 15mg and see if the symptoms go away or 2) stay on the 30mg and see if the symptoms go away (ie my body becomes adjusted to it). I figure I will do #2. If it is the pills causing the reaction and I havene become adjusted to it in a week I will stop taking them (gradually of course). If I do get used to it then great, just keep taking them as normal. It wouldnt make too much sense to do #1 in my opinion. I was also told however to keep close check on it. I ended up with two perscriptions. An antibiotic for 3 days and a perscription of a sedative that I can take if I have problems breathing again and that should help relax my lungs and body to stop the problem.
