Guest guest
Is that what you wanted Jill? Subject: Pain Management Help Can all of you who would have rated their pain levels at a 9 or greater before embarking on a pain management regimen please write me and share with me how your pain was managed (successes and failures welcome) - doses of meds that works and that which didn't. A member not on the list has a son who is at a 10 for pain is on 10 mg or oxycontin and getting no relief (no kidding!). The mom would like to hear from you! Guest guest
Jill, does Judy have access to the internet? Just curious. Guest guest
She does Lana, she's rather new to it though and has already had several bad viruses, so she's cautious. I may have her join us here though for the support. Jill Re: Pain Management Help > > > > > > O.k. Guest guest
I asked, Jill, because when I sent her the card, I suggested she may want to look at the Mayo website (http://www.mayoclinic.org/rochester/)-also (http://www.mayoclinic.org/rochester/whychoose.html)? I don't know if that would be an option, taking Troy there, but they work on things and pound away until the problem is solved, and I think with someone like Troy, they would place him in the hospital and try different things until an answer is found. It's just a thought, it may not be an option, or they may have tried something on that order already. Have they tried any option methods of pain relief like hypnosis or accupuncture? Has she found any articles on pain relief and would she want any?? Love Lana > She does Lana, she's rather new to it though and has already had several bad > viruses, so she's cautious. Guest guest
Lana, I agree and did suggest this to her as well, I told her of my experiences with the Mayo, so hopefully she'll try to get some thing organized for her son. She's very motivated, as any mother would be, so I hope that things start going upward for them now! Jill

Guest guest
Oh GOOD, Jill, I was hoping I wasn't leading her astray or anything, it's just that we had such good luck there, and I would go in a heartbeat for myself, should I ever need to! I'm glad, though, that you substantiated my viewpoint! Guest guest
Oh O completely agree with you, when I went it was a comprehensive visit for me and all I was supposed to see was one surgeon. I ended up with a full day, seeing many different people, it was fantastic for me. Her son needs a comprehensive approach and this might be the place for him, I agree.
