Hi ,

I don't know what it might be.........but sure wouldn't hesitate to call the

neurosurgeon about this. Let us know what you find out!

Susie, you'd better ask your doc. It isn't unusual for the tissue beneath the

scar to be quite traumatized and bumpy, but anything that doesn't look right

should be seen to promptly.

Hi Susie

I forgot to answer this question. My lump is pretty big too. The doc

I saw here says all is well and will go down in 3/6 weeks. Just

inflammation around an area that was open to the whole world.. I

look like a camel is on my hip area and still a little sore. Give it

time.

Dear Susie,

It does seem a BIG lump-so you should probably ask about it. But having

lumps under the incision is normal. Massaging the incision twice a day

is good-round and round, up and down on each side, across. This was the

advice my PT department gave. Use E45 cream or something like that,

or oil from a Vitamin E capsule. The lumps soon start to disappear.
