It isn't unusual for the tissue beneath the scar to be quite traumatized and bumpy, but anything that doesn't look right should be seen to promptly. Guest guest
Hi Susie I forgot to answer this question. My lump is pretty big too. The doc I saw here says all is well and will go down in 3/6 weeks. Just inflammation around an area that was open to the whole world.. I look like a camel is on my hip area and still a little sore. Give it time. Mike > I am 2 weeks post-surgery and this week I noticed a large (tennis > ball size) hard lump under the bottom part of my incision. Guest guest
Dear Susie, It does seem a BIG lump-so you should probably ask about it. But having lumps under the incision is normal. Massaging the incision twice a day is good-round and round, up and down on each side, across. This was the advice my PT department gave. Use E45 cream or something like that, or oil from a Vitamin E capsule. The lumps soon start to disappear. Eleanor lump under incision I am 2 weeks post-surgery and this week I noticed a large (tennis ball size) hard lump under the bottom part of my incision. Did anyone else have this and do you know what it is? Thanks, Susie
