Is anyone out there being told that >leg legnth can be adressed with this proceedure? Depends on why the leg length is different in the first place. I had a 2.5 cm difference corrected by resurfacing. My left femur had begun a migration up the side of my pelvis somewhere within the ten years prior to my resurfacings. By putting the acetabular component where it should have been originally, I got a perfectly matched set. If the legs are uneven for other reasons, it is easier to correct with THR than resurfacing. On the other hand, it is also easier with THR to have a leg length discrepancy post-op where there was none before. Happened to my aunt, and she was NOT happy!
