Dear Jen,

In the CEDA files section there is one called Chronic Fatigue Often Paired

With Ehlers Danlos that might be good to bring. There is also the article about

chronic pain in EDS which can be found here http://www.ednf.org/infomedreps.html

and there may be others that you might want on that site as well.

Good Luck!

Hugs,

B.

i was wondering what you all think about his theory. is it even

possible to manage the pain well enough that you could decrease the

meds?

--------------

That is part of what I am trying to find out by running all over the

countryside this summer.

I can tell you with absolute, 100% certainty that it is most

definitely possible to manage pain without narcotics in certain

specific situations.

The best example I can give is headaches. Acupressure is

outstanding for headache relief. I personally cured my own headache

(tension type) problem two years ago using acupressure, after having

suffered with them for about 30 years.

Mark in Houston now has an excellent record of bringing his

migraines under control using acupressure as well. He has had only

three since January and was able to very quickly suppress all three

of them, and without taking any meds for them.

I also get excellent results using the polarity X technique for

joint pain, including the pain of osteoarthritis.

So, for specific situations, yes. For broad based systemic pain,

such as that caused by fibromyalgia or chronic fascial pain

syndrome, I am still at the theoretical stage. My theory is that

these conditions are in fact caused by energetic imbalances and that

the pain associated with them can be managed or controlled

(hopefully cured) by using energetic treatment techniques. I need

to work on a few folks with the conditions to test the theory. But

since the diagnostic points to determine if fibro is there are in

fact acupressure points, I think there is a sound basis for my

theory.

Directly associated with this is pernicious evil of drug induced

side effects. You take one pill for a specfic problem but it causes

an adverse side effect which causes you to take a second pill which

causes a different side effect, for which you are prescribed a third

pill, on an on ad nauseum. My elderly aunt went through this cycle

until she was finally up to 14 meds, at least 8 of which were being

prescribed solely for side effects caused by the other six or each

other.

A good example here is that constipation is a major side effect from

a number of meds being prescribed. So what do they do for the

constipation? Give you another pill, of course. Well, there are

some acupressure points that are EXTREMELY effective in taking care

of constipation.

What I am looking for are those techniques that be be self

administered to allow the rest of you out there to start taking back

some control for your own health and reduce your dependence on

pills. If I can show someone a technique that enables them to avoid

just one extra pill, then I am doing my self appointed job.
