I am absolutely appalled at Sue's treatment. And I wish I could think of

something to do about it!

But in a country in which the vice-president can tell another elected offical

to go &^$@ himself, and then not be at all apologetic for it...a country

which lets its president (and vice-president, and...) lie and lie and lie again

without once calling him to account.....a country which seems to desperately

want to preserve marriage (originally a social/business construct) from the

horrors of people like me -- heaven forbid we should choose love over killing

people! -- and vilifies its poor and sick, instead of doing the Christian

thing...you know, the head of Medicare said recently that only a pessimist would

look

at having to pay $5,000+ each year for medication under the new Medicare as

bad? What does he think disability pays? Everywhere around me at the county are

people having to choose which condition they can afford treatment for -- and

then have to tolerate being reprimanded as irresponsible for missing meds. And

we're holding a lottery -- 50,000 lucky dying people will be able to get their

cancer medication paid for early. Too bad for the rest of you.

Sorry. I'm really fed up with this controlling, power-hungry behavior -- let

the poor and sick die, we could care less -- " Well, there's nothing we can

do. " Arg!
