Guest guest
The bloodwork's here in town, thank goodness, but will have to drive an hour and a half each way for the MRI, etc... That one particular thread of family history (and it all hinges on whether one guy's dad is Noble Guy A or Not Noble Guy A, so I may well be reading a lot of history for no reason what so ever! ;-D ) has gotten back far enough to get into all the folks written up here- http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/CONTENTS.htm which I'm checking against every historical source I can find as I go along... Meanwhile, on the closer-to-now front, a cousin and I (and I met a NEW cousin at ancestry and now FB the other day!) are still hunting what Grandpa did during the Civil War that led to my mother always hearing he was a " carpetbagger " ... I used to think only snotty old ladies who wanted to join the DAR and " confirmed bachelor " men (ahem) did genealogy. Reckon I'm gonna have to get snotty, 'cause I'm having FUN with this... " Update in an Actual Timely Manner! Let's see - gotta go Monday and get all my blood sucked out for testing, and am waiting to see when my MRI appointment is - just saw in today's paper that a nice big chunk of the interstate between here and there HAS LANDSLIDED OFF THE SIDE OF THE MOUNTAIN... Got too many projects under way - some " for me " and some " for the house " sewing, some house-cleaning/redecorating/decluttering, a new blackwork design I need to stitch and another I need to finish charting. And still working away in my great-grandma's " way back " genealogy, just found an ancestor the other night who is buried in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. And today is Numba One Granddaughter's 13th birthday! Happy birthday, ! And to your mom- HAAAAAhahahahahahaaaaaa............ ;-D T in WY Practical Blackwork Designs http://practicalblackwork.com http://practical-blackwork.blogspot.com " You get a wonderful view from the point of no return... Guest guest
I guess we will both get "snotty"! lol Thanks for the link. I've already looked at it and will save the page. I have three "found" cousins on Facebook with me--after finding each other through Ancestry.com we have been staying in touch. I got a friendly email from one of them last week and I thought how absolutely amazed my dad would be that I regularly correspond by email with Ruckel and Crippen relatives! My dad died before we had computers and email:)I should do the DAR I guess. I remember seeing my gramma's paperwork for DAR but I can't remember the details. No one seems to know what happened to that paperwork.Have fun with your blood work:)hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product.
