Hi CaitI'm just doing simple range of motion type exercises for my ankles and shoulders. I rotate my feet at the ankles 20 times one direction then 20 times the other direction. Same thing with my arms. I hold my arms out straight to the side then do small circle rotations of my arms (as above) and then do the same number with large rotations. I hope I'm explaining it so you can understand me. There's a reason why I could never have been a technical writer:) lol I have a hard time explaining things. When I do the shoulder/arm rotations it is very tiring. That shows me how weak I have become. I also do leg lifts when in a sitting position. I just raise my legs up and down 20 times. I can sure feel that pull on my

muscles!I used to do lifts with hand weights but it made my neck hurt and I had to stop. I call that pain "broken neck pain" because it was right where my neck was broken in '02. I really do feel better since I've been doing these little exercises. I have also make myself go out to the poultry yard every morning to help my granddaughter with her chores. I help water and feed. The birds are happy to see me and they come to eat the kitchen scraps I bring them such as lettuce scraps and old bread. ..Sounds like a fun and yummy party to me. I'm curious about the exercises you do Sharon. I need to do some strengthening up too, just don't know where to start.

Sharon's little update

We had a birthday get-together here yesterday for my wonderful son-in-law. He turned 43. We decorated with balloons and streamers--the living room looked quite festive:) My son made beef fajitas and I made bean dip. My daughter and her girls made the most delicious cupcakes. They were chocolate with chocolate frosting and stuffed with custard. Yummy!Monsoon season has come and we are now getting rain every day. We got a half inch so far today and it looks like the rain isn't over yet. The lightening was ferocious. We now have two baby ducklings in the house. Cookie the momma duck rejected a second duckling but has kept one. I guess Cookie only wants one baby at a time. lol "Mommy Hen" has two little yellow chicks she hatched out in the poultry yard. They are adorable! I think she has one more egg that may hatch yet. I'm feeling good except for low back pain that comes and goes. I am doing daily exercises to try to strengthen my legs, ankles and arms. I think it's helping:) I will see my primary care Friday so I can talk to her about the back pain and the chronic cough I have.big happy hugs to each of you!
