Guest guest Posted January 19, 2011 Report Share Posted January 19, 2011 Galveston College is conducting an EMS Instructor course Feb. 4 - May 6, 2011; hours are 8:30 - 12:30 Fridays. The cost is $240 which does not include the price of the required textbook. This advanced course provides teaching methodologies for instructors and coordinators of emergency medical services. Skill development must meet current requirements of the certifying agency. Students will be able to display a working knowledge of current principles of instruction in adult education; demonstrate the ability to prepare and present lecture/demonstration lessons on emergency medical topics; display the ability to prepare for and evaluate student skills and performance in lecture sessions using current educational ideas; and exhibit attitudes and behavior consistent with the ethics and professionalism expected of an emergency medical services instructor.
