Did the Dr. check you for giardia or cryptosporidium? Both can cause bacterial overgrowth in the small intestine, Best wishes to you! Thanks for writing back to me! Guest guest Posted July 10, 2004 Report Share Posted July 10, 2004 Hi -- Right now my doctor put me on an antibiotic (Cipro I think) because he does suspect I have an bacterial overgrowth in my small intestine. Bascially I'm keeping track of everything and going back to him in late August. So far, so good - things are looking better, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!! I hope things ease up for you soon and you are feeling better.
