Guest guest
You have one ER without so much as a dedicated pediatrician which is about 5-10 min northwest, and one which is a dedicated children's hospital 30-40 minutes in the opposite direction. The two closest flight teams are out on other calls, and consequently their ETA is worse than yours. Alyssa Woods, NREMT-B > How far is the ER? > > Louis N. Guest guest
No history, no allergies, no medications, pt was playing in the yard (no apparent threats) First vitals: o2: 90% room air RR: 8, very shallow and erratic, no gag reflex HR: 158, sinus arrhythmia, strong pulse BP: 98/56 Second vitals: o2: 96% on 15 LPM NRB RR: 6, very shallow and erratic, no gag reflex HR: 164, sinus arrhythmia, strong pulse BP: 94/52 Pupils are dilated and extremely sluggish, if that. Body temperature is 95 degrees farenheit, even with aggressive warming -- ie, all the blankets on your ambulance and heat packs and your ambulance heater is on (in the middle of summer). Versed and Ativan have been able to stop the seizures for 30 seconds - 1 minute. Alyssa Woods, NREMT-B > Vitals?
