Guest guest
Ok, declaimer to follow; Any of you that may know me personally, have seen pictures of me (recently especially) may find this odd coming from me but here goes...... Aside from it being the first of the year, and millions of people getting crazy about their shape and size. I'm curious as to what other people/depts are doing to stay in shape for our job? I myself have been doing the high protein, low fat things and have had some good success both in the past and now. I also do the cardio thing regularly, and up until the last 9 months or so never really had a hard time on the job. I find myself getting winded quicker than normal, so I have stepped up my workouts to address that. What I wonder is what is everyone else doing? Does your Dept have a fitness standard? Recently one of my jobs started a weight loss contest, which is great! (and I intend to win). But I'm talking overall health? I find it slightly ironic that I tell my cardiac patients that they need to exercise more and eat better (tactfully of course) when up until recently I probably had worse diet and exercise habit than them! -Chris Sorry for the spelling and punctuation this was typed on the tiny keyboard on my iPhone
