Hi, Y'All:

As I was preparing to leave the gym yesterday some schmuck in a Grand Am GT parked in the handicap space next to my car & walked briskly into the gym. No handicap placard or plates on his car. So, I took out my camera & snapped pix. Guess his buddy told him about it because he came back out, moved his car behind mine to block me from leaving, took a picture of my car plate with his iPhone & then parked in a legal space.

When he was taking a picture of my license plate, I wish I'd had the guts to roll down my window & say: "You're welcome to take a pic of my handicap placard & electric scooter, too."

Hope he's not dumb enough to try doing something to me or my car. Every employee & just about every member at the gym knows who I am & my disability. He'd get his butt kicked!Dan U dao_nguu@...

I think this is all wonderful, Dan! I'm in awe. You make me feel like a slug...not that you were trying to or anything, I just feel like a big lump on a log. I suppose it's time I start moving and shakin'.I have been considering Gilenya also; I had no idea that insurance would deny it. That's disheartening. Love the photo of you.blessings,KateTo:

I do cable machines at gym, which are much safer than free weights. I do cardio on elliptical machine, again, because it's safer for me than treadmill, where I'll trip. Been going to physical therapy to work on posture & strengthen core muscles (abdominals & obliques) to help with balance.

Insurance company doesn't want to pay for Gilenya. It's in appeal but they will likely insist I go one one of the interferon drugs.

I might report him and tell the police that he took a picture of your plate.

I'd share any concern you have with them. Just my 2 cents.

I think that's wonderful that you work out at the gym. What sorts of

exercises or machines do you use?
