Dr. Sparling did bilateral resurfacings on me in August, 2001, so

I'm closing in on my 3 year anniversay. I, of course, think he's a

genius, and though he may impress you as being kind of cool,

attitude-wise, he is a very caring, involved man and was wonderful

during my surgery and hospitalization. He did a one year fellowship

with Amstutz at JRI and was involved with resurfacing in the earlier

days, so he's got lot's of experience. When I was there for my

follow-up last summer, he had done about 200 resurfacings at that

Dr. Sparling was with JRI prior to moving to Washington. He assisted

Dr. Amstutz in my first resurfacing at LA Orthopedic on 3/24/1998. I

felt he was terrific, and he learned under one of the best.
