Guest guest
I believe I have made a good decision to get resurfaced. How long does this process take? If I saw the doctor and he said I was a suitable candidate for this procedure tomorrow, how long do I have to wait before I can actually get it done? I have read messages where people have said 1 - 2 years wait. Is that normal? There are also messages that say things like " C+ to be 7/21 " . I am new to this site (3 weeks). I plan on having the procedure done in the U.S.A.

It depends on the doctor. Some have longer waiting lists than others. > > I have read messages where people have said 1 - 2 years wait. That's more typical in Canada (and the wait varies drastically from province to province). > Is that > normal? There are also messages that say things like " C+ to be 7/21 " . That indicates that someone is scheduled for surgery (with a Conserve Plus) on July 21. > > I am new to this site (3 weeks). I plan on having the procedure done > in the U.S.A. I think the wait list for most of the US docs is probably around 6-8 weeks. The big problem here is insurance. Some insurers don't pay for resurfacing, some pay partially, and a few will actually pay for the whole procedure. Many times they'll keep you waiting for weeks before they make a decision.
