Guest guest
I've had several PT sessions. My last visit, before today, the therapy assistant had me stand in one spot and turn my head from side to side. Of course, she had me do other exercises as well; but, that side to side thing was causing a popping in my neck. When she asked how I was doing, I told her that I could feel my neck popping. I asked her if she could hear it; because, I not only felt it, I heard it as well. She said she could hear it and asked what was causing it. I didn't know; but, she had me stop then led me off to do the electric stimulation and ice pack on my back. My balance is what it is. Sometimes it's good; sometimes, it's not so good. But, the pain is going to be there at home as much as it is anywhere else. This morning, the therapy aid had me do the exercises as usual. But, this time, while I was moving my head from side to side, she did not ask how I was. The popping was still there; but, I don't think she heard it. She said that next time, we will add in some step work. I think they are going to disable me even further. All I wanted was a TENS unit to use at home where I really need it. My newest painting is attached. It is based upon a picture I took of some guy fly-fishing in the Yakima River. I hope you like it.Donna in WA 1 of 1 Photo(s)

Guest guest
Sharon,I agree fly fishing is an art. I love to watch a skilled fly-fisher. It's almost like ballet and could be set to music. So far, I have not seen any improvement. I rarely do. The last time I was in physical therapy, I ended up quitting after a couple months. Pain is more of an issue for me than my balance. The physical therapist said that the two can go hand in hand and if we address the balance, it should help minimize the pain. However, it has been my experience, throughout the history of my life, that pain will happen even with perfect or near perfect balance. The next time I see the physical therapist, I will ask her if there is a TENS unit I can use at home to manage my pain. Donna in WASubject: Re: how is everyone faring......To: "MSersLife " <MSersLife >Date: Monday, August 8, 2011, 3:38 PM I love your new painting, Donna. My son and grandson are fly-fisherman, too. I was just looking at some photos this morning that were taken on their recent camping trip. They were both fly-fishing. It's so impressive to see an experience fly-fisherman at work. It's like art:) Do you see improvements from your physical therapy? hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product.
