Guest guest
I contacted Bill Hineman (Louisiana's State EMS Director). As below, non-NREMT personnel seeking to work with the spill relief need to apply for reciprocity through the area providers, not the state directly. No direct link I know to contact the local providers for the spill. If I find something I'll pass it on to listserv. -Brad - Request More Information on Reciprocity Bill, Could you please clarify who your designate will be for accepting state-certified provider reciprocity requests? The language in the directive isn't specific, and I couldn't find it on your website. I'll forward any info you can provide to the Texas EMS Listserv and to Maxie Bishop at the Texas DSHS. I'm sure I'm one of many paramedics interesting in helping, and we could use help funneling into your system. It would also help knowing who to contact from the major agencies policing the medical effort, so that we can find companies hiring paramedics and EMTs. Thanks, Brad Sattler Sent via BlackBerry, the office that follows you.
Guest guest
Currently Acadian Ambulance is the largest and primary provider of EMS Personnel for the spill....of course the state office is not a liberty to promote or recommend a specific company. There are some companies who have in-house medical person for their employees, but most are relying on Acadian.... They are the sole EMS Provider for most of the affected coastline in Louisiana... Acadian has been a key player in the response since the event started on April 20th..... For more information about Acadian you can go to http://www.acadian.com/ac_news Les NREMT-Paramedic, HM-M, CSST, SAPA, RSO, AHA-TCF Senior Safety Coordinator / Emergency Response Coordinator Westlake Chemical P.O.
