Guest guest
n here. Well, in the midst of my youngest grandchild's prepara-tion for her Bat Mitvah (ceremony celebrating the adulthood of girlsof 12, and boys of 13, as they become "mature" members of the Jewish community), we are finally having more typical autumn weather here.In other words, whereas we had had unseasonably warm weather(74-78 in the daytime), with cold nights (down to 40s), we are nowhaving daytime weather of just under 60 degrees, with night timetemperature of about the same!I was born in Michigan, and have lived in Oregon as well, and I cantell you that global weather change is definitely a fact. However, I love it when it rains; the rain slaps that pollen down, clears the air and leaves gorgeous clouds and beautiful sunsetsbehind. Now, as my youngest granddaughter is having her formal BatMitzvah on Saturday morning, with a special brunch at a localrestaurant (her favorite) on Sunday morning, all I have to do isto remember that we move from Daylight Savings Time back toStandard Time (Pacific) at midnight Saturday/Sunday a.m.!And, as if to celebrate my granddaughter's Big Weekend, the sunhas decided to have a virtual shower of sunspots--obviously justfor her!Love to you all, wherever you are, and in no matter which weatherpattern!nn
