Guest guest
Hi Jacks I go in for a BHR 5 days after you. I've been mentally preparing myself ever since I got the surgery date 3 months ago. Honestly, I could research until I'm blue in the face (or until the cows come home, whichever happens last) and I'd still be nervous and have questions and wonder whether I'm doing the right thing. I've decided on a few things concerning my recovery, though: (1) I'm going to do what the doctors, nurses and physios tell me to do (and I think that can vary a little, judging from what I've read on this site); (2) I'm not going to do what they tell me not to do (although remembering might be hard at times, as you imply); (3) I'm not going to rush anything - in the scheme of things, another few days taking it easy in bed isn't going matter, especially if it means I'll eventually be better able to begin physio, walking further, etc; (4) I'm going to daydream about some of the brilliant recovery stories I've read on this site and imagine myself doing what it is I eventually want to be able to do, and then slowly work towards that; and (5) take the rest as it comes. Good luck Tony > Has anyone got any info / tips on the recovery from a resurf?
