Guest guest
Des... I'm still waiting for my insurance reply, so you have a much better perspective than I. But I would have said what you did...having read the stories of hippies before me. I'm fully expecting to be able to return to handball singles...at the level I was at before I got hurt. (For most of the last year, I've been forced to settle for " old guys " doubles. They're nice guys, and it's not a bad game, but it's not what I know I can do with a whole body.) Anything less than what you were is second best. Who wants that? Alan > You've set your sights too low. Guest guest
YIPPPEEE! Good for you whale...! I love your attitude...and you're right...life's about choices and sometimes they're not SIMPLE! We need to get hit in the head with a 2x4 at times...but hey, 1) it takes our mind off our hip pain and 2) it wakes us up a little! Best of luck to you, In surfacehippy , " whale1vmfa115 " wrote: > Choices make life much more complicated! > But thank you all for your input. Guest guest
I just played a 4.5 league singles match, our league goes no higher so there are generally 5.0 players playing #1 singles like myself. I played 2 1/2 sets before darkness stopped us after 2 hours of play. We split sets and have to complete the match this weekend. Today, I feel no major soreness and my opponent was 20 years younger! I seriously doubt that I could have moved that well with a THR. Saeed, Madison, WI bilateral BHR, DeSmet, 7-2-

Guest guest
Thanks Donna. If I'm in Europe during your surgery, I'll try and come visit. I also want to see Koen again. I wish you the fasted recovery because I want to play a mixed tournament with you sometime! Warmly, Saeed

But thank you all for your input. You really made me think about what a compromise I was making. I have just scheduled an appointment with Dr. Schmalzried - will see him in two weeks. Guest guest
Wow, Saeed, you're my inspiration for bilateral resurfacing! > I just played a 4.5 league singles match, our league goes no higher so there > are generally 5.0 players playing #1 singles like myself.
