Guest guest
My second hip was resurfaced in january and have been doing well. Post op had horrible pain lateral femur. Past two days, skin feels " sore " if touched in this area. Am OK walking ....just if I happen to touch this area, it feels as if the muscle is sore. No tenderness..appears to be very superficial. anyone have anything like this? diane
Guest guest
Hi Diane, I think I may have had similiar things happen.......... I put mine down to the scar being stretched at various levels and it sets up funny things with the nerves and tissues as they do their thing to accommodate the stretch......... so there was tingling sensations, soreness on the very top of the skin........... It is also possible that there is localized nerve damage/interference from the operation in the top skin area and again stretching sets the tissue cells and nerves off........... Having said that a chat to a local GP or other health professional may be helpful if it continues to worry you............ there can be rare strange things happen with stitches that refuse to dissolve if it is anywhere near the scar area........ Guest guest
-Hi Diane I have had the same thing, just above the knee on the outside. I went for my 6-week outpatient visit last week, and the doc said it was nerve bruising. It is receeding bit by bit. I am putting arnica cream on the area; don't know if this helps, and when I questioned the doc he said he knew nothing about it. Typical. Hope this is helpful. -- In surfacehippy , " ecrow " wrote: > Hi Diane, > > I think I may have had similiar things happen..........
