Guest guest
Hi hippies Thought it might be helpful to pass on a tip I had from a friend who has had back problems for years. He suggests going to sleep sitting up (with loads of pillows of course) as you've probably seen your grandparents do. This is not as difficult as it sounds. You will of course wake up in about an hour or so, but then move your pillows down and lie flat on your back (head still raised more than usual). This gives you a chance to change position, which is limited with the restrictions on your nocturnal movement. This also helps with soreness of the heels. The first night I tried this, I had the best sleep since the morphine was taken away. Hope this helps.
