Hi all my sweet friendsYEah, I know, you probably don't have a clue who I am anymore, don't worry, sometimes I feel the same, don't have a clue who I am. LOL Yeah, now you remember!! It's the silly crazy gal from South Africa. So how have you all been??? I know it's ages ago when I last checked in, so sorry about that. Sometimes time just fly by. My Mom and I still sit at my brother's work, he had 2 workers since I last told you about it. But they were useless. Sorry, but that's the truth. He's a perfectionist and it's important that his work is well done, and they didn't think that it was necessary to do a good job. So he had to redo everything they did. Well, it's suppose to be spring here, but still cold. And the wind is blowing like mad. Funny, somehow

the wind seems to forget when it's August. You see in SA the wind usually blows like mad in August. Guess it's to spread the little seeds and whatever. But it's September now, so the wind's late, as usual. I'm a bit fed up with the cold weather, so I hope our spring will appear some time soon. How have you all been??? Staying out of trouble I hope, hey, if you got into trouble without me, then I'll be very upset. I love trouble, but somehow I usually miss it.Got to tell you my exciting news. Now most of you know that I'm not great with doctors, I'm a bit scared of them, and please don't mention the needles. You should see me run when I hear or see a needle. Believe me, I don't need a walker that time, I can fly out of there, without any problem at all.So 2 months ago we had to go the the doctor for our regular 6 month prescription refill. No big deal, usually at the Provincial

hospitals they don't even look your way. Just want to rewrite the prescription and get you out of there. Perfect for me. But this time it was a new doctor, and someone who actually looked at my blood pressure. He was worried, because it's sky high. So he said that he would like to draw blood (What!!! You mean a needle?????) to check my kidney function. I got a panic attack right away. After a while I felt that I couldn't breath anymore, so I fled out of his office, my Mom had to explain what's going on. Okay, got the prescription so we get our pills. But he wanted to see me the next month again, got to see if the pills work. Now for the last 2 months I've been having panic attacks like mad, see having the shock of someone mentioning needles, even though it's okay not to do it, is still too much for me to handle. And I have to get back to trying to survive the doctors again. Well, each week or so I go to the clinic so they can

take my blood pressure, just to see if the pills work. The first batch wasn't too great, made me cough. So the past month I'm on the next batch, have to go back on Thursday to see if that works. But last Wednesday when I was there to get my blood pressure checked, I asked my favorite nurse how bad the blood test will be, will it hurt a lot??? She told me that it's just a little prick and that's it. So I actually asked her to do it. I even asked if I could cry before the time, because the idea of getting a needle stuck into my arm, is too much to handle. So I squeezed the one nurse's fingers blue, I think, closed my eyes and waited. And there was a little prick. I asked for the thinnest little needle they had. I actually survived it, didn't moan at all. Afterwards I was a bit hysterical, laughing and crying all at once, the nurse who took the blood gave me a hug, I hugged the one that gave me her hand to grab on as well. I actually

may have overcome my phobia of needles. I'm 39 and I survived a blood test. Yippeeeeeee!!!! I know, it's very silly, but hey, it took a lot. Now get this, if my bravery won't let me down, I want to ask the doctor if they do blood tests for thyroids as well. I suspect that I may have an under active thyroid, you know, not losing weight, and who knows what else and under active gland may do to your health. So hopefully I will be able to handle it again. Just the thinnest needle and someone that have a little patience and a big heart to get me through it. Otherwise I'm doing fine, Mom's doing fine as well. The arthritis is giving her a bit of hell the last two days, she can't move, and MS is giving me hell the last two days. Or maybe we just went to the same party and had too much fun for 2 old gals. LOL Not sure which one, but anyway, we're moaning and groaning the whole

time. It's very funny to see the 2 of us moving, so I bet someone has kicked our butts. Not sure whom it was??? But believe me, I would like to kick his butt even more, well, hope I can get my leg to kick him that high. LOLAbout a month or 2 ago, I got this great idea. I wanted to repaint our house outside. Yeah, me, not walker too great at the time, wants to paint a house. Oh what did I think of!!!! And get this, we painted our house a few years back, but then again, we were a bit younger then. And even worse, now please don't fall off your chair, I use a paint brush that's about 1 inch. Yip, that's right, all the walls. And remember, I don't do heights. So I still need my brother to do the top third of the walls and the roof of course. So I will send you pics when I finally get to that. The paint is bought and stands in our garage. Now I suppose the last 2 months of panic

attacks about the doctors/nurses chasing me around with needles was the cause of the pain that I'm in right now. So hopefully the pain will stop as well, the panic attacks are over, finally. I'm sure that's not too good for blood pressure as well, and hopefully I won't be afraid of needles again. Chameleon stories. Now all the little ones is still doing good. Oh yeah, Mini-Blaartjie is still the spoiled one, I take him out in the mornings, and go and fetch him and put him in the fern at nights, so he doesn't have cold nights at all. Well, while we're sitting at my brother's work, we get home a bit late at nights. So the other night I couldn't find him. I didn't sleep too well, was worried about my baby. Now all the chameleons have their own trees/shrubs where they live. And they are very obsessive with their territories. So I have to make sure that I know which one is on my hand, and where he

lives, otherwise there will be wars all day long. Now the night that I tried to find Mini-Blaartjie I saw that the 2 hibiscus trees where he usually stays in, has one branch that is overlapping the shrub next to it. Now in that shrub (a Rocky Horror Tecoma, LOL my Mom just remember it's a horror) lives Knerses and Baby. And they have 2 other trees that overlap that one that they can move in. Yeah, they believe in large homes with lots of rooms. LOL Well, the next day I could see the Mini-Blaartjie is hanging from the Horror shrub, looking a bit frightened. So I went over, glad to see him, put my hand underneath him to climb on, but he was a bit uptight, opening his mouth, but then he decided he will climb as fast as he can on my hand. The reason??? Well, Knerses found him in his bed, I suppose as wasn't too happy. He was behind him, ready to chew off his head. LOL After I put Mini-Blaartjie in his tree again, I went back to fetch Knerses, but he was so

upset that I didn't give him the chance to bite of Mini-Blaartjie's head, that he refused to climb on my hand. I suppose he's still a bit mad at me. I had to cut the branch that was overlapping, so that Mini-Blaartjie won't climb in his tree again.Oh yeah, and the other day I saw Boompie. She is the oldest of the girls. Boy, does she have a huge tummy. Guess she'll be having babies very soon. The little ones usually appear around November/December. Then I will have to try and keep them away from the birds.Lots of enemies for the little ones. Now it was fun to pick her up and hold her a bit. Usually I only see her from a distance, and it's about once every 3 months or so. She's very shy. When I put her back in the shrub, she was tumbling around on the twigs, her tummy is so huge throws her off balance, so I had to keep my hand underneath her, just in case she falls off. Okay,

now you had a long bed time story from me, hope you sleep well. Now remember to be good, take care and love you all.Silly from South Africa and all her strange animal stories
