Fort Lauderdale. Seems that the Winnebago factory screwed up and

sent the wrong part. To make it worse, the factory doesn't have the

right part in stock. Fortunately, bilt checked around and

located the correct part someplace else. They were going to have it

shipped by second day air, which would mean not being able to pick

up the RV until sometime late Thursday afternoon.

We told them to up it to overnight delivery and we would be more

than happy to pay the extra freight. He was going to call on that

right away, so hopefully the repairs should be done by close of

business Wednesday.

If we can get it back by Wednesday night, or even first thing

Thursday morning, the last itinerary update should hold. If we

can't get it back until late Thursday, then the Virginia stops might

have to be adjusted by a day. Won't know on this until tomorrow.

Mike & Darlene left here (Boynton Beach Fla.), this AM (Thur.), headed

towards Ft. Lauderdale, to hopefully find their Winnebago close to being

repaired,

so that they could continue on their trip. I am obviously also here in

Fla., (not in NJ, where I live) where I had also come to, shortly after

arriving

home from Buffalo on 8/1. I had received a call from my Mom & Dad, to tell

me that my Mom needed some bilateral eye surgery. Her eyelids began drooping

(yes, Mom is my EDS side of the family), interfering with her vision & she

had large bags under her eyes removed, as well. The surgery was performed on

Monday, 8/2. Mike & Darlene arrived here, at their home in Boynton Beach Fla.,

at almost exactly the same moment as we did, upon returning from the day

surgery unit.

My trip initially was unplanned, as they didn't tell me @ the surgery, until

after I returned from Buffalo, at which time they called & asked me to fly

down to help them during this week. It was at that time, that I offhandedly

told Mike what was going on & they immediately offered to divert this part of

their trip & come here to Fla., from Alabama.

One main reason was that my folks had also had a car accident @ a year ago &

my Mom has been suffering with severe neck pain, after being " T " boned, by

some kids fooling around in their car, which hit my folks car, right in my

Mom's door. She has since been treated by every modality know to Western

Medicine, to no avail & has been suffering terribly. Well, after not having

any

luck getting their RV repaired in Michigan, they opted to have the repairs

done in Ft. Lauderdale Fla. & made the trip here, to treat my Mom's neck, treat

her immediately post operatively from her eye surgery, treat me again, after

my fall related injuries in Buffalo, my Dad's arthritis & other problems, as

well as a close friend with Cerebral Palsy (46 y.o.).

I will update you tomorrow on the results of all of the treatments, as I am

totally wasted now, but the results were all amazing, particularly the friend

with C.P., who after 46 years, for the first time in his entire life, left

here, with his legs straight, walking on both feet & even speaking on the

telephone the following day, without a hint of having C.P. He has a lot of

muscle retraining to do, which he has to continuously remind himself to do, but

as

of this evening, 2 days post treatment, he is still doing terrific. I am

blown away by everything that happened, but that has me the most amazed.

But, here's my confession. As Mike said above, there were delayed here in

Fla., for an extra day, because the wrong part was shipped to the Winnebago

place. I must " come clean " . I confess. I arranged to have the wrong part

sent to the Winnebago place, so that they would have to stay here an extra day,

I just couldn't bear to have them leave..................

Now, if you believe that story............ you will also likely see me

running the marathon tomorrow & doing handstand flips at the same time. And, I

have a bridge to sell you...........

Yes, I'm joking, but I just couldn't resist. The temptation was just far to

great for me to resist & it got the better of me. My apologies. No, I did

not arrange to have the part delayed, but it was nice having them here an

extra day! BUT, they do say that laughter is the best medicine, so if that's

combined with Mike's abilities, then I think we're all headed in the right

direction.

But, it is true, that I couldn't bear to see them leave & I got up before

6AM today (and for those of you that REALLY know me, that IS a miracle!!!). I

actually got up to make them fresh coffee & pack a lunch for them. So, I

guess Mike also cleared out the part of my brain that has always prevented me

from being able to function at such an hour. But I just couldn't wake up, to

find them gone. I loved them both before, but for those of you who already

know Mike & Darlene, you know what amazing, loving, generous, giving &

wonderful people they are. For those of you who don't yet know them, you are

in for

an incredible treat. Just open your hearts, your minds & your bodies & lay

back & accept all that they have to offer. You too will be amazed & be

eternally grateful for them being on this earth.

And, PLEASE be sure to update them on your progress, as that gives Mike so

much information, as to how his different treatments are progressing with

those of you that he's already seen & gives him additional knowledge when he

treats other people, later on in his trip.

And, as we all wish them a safe & productive journey, I shall say goodnight

& promise to give you all more information on issues that Mike dealt with

here & their results. But, I can tell you that it's all good, it's amazing &

simply unexplainable. But who cares??... as long as it works!
