Guest guest
Liz, l live in montreal and l was sentenced 2 years ago to walk with at least one cane for the remaining of my days by a physiatrist. l had resurfacing 8 months ago by Dr Laflamme at Sacré Coeur and have been back to heavy work without restriction, except for impact sports, after l completed 8 months of intense physical therapy. l expect to have the other hip resurfaced too and l know that l will have to undergo again long months of physical therapy. In Canada, luckily, resurfacing is not a matter of access to surgery and how much it cost. l have conditioned to devote myself to work as hard for my physical therapy as our fellows from around the world have to fight to have their resurfacing. The real issue is ``discipline`` in doing your post op physical therapy and work hard to the ultimate limit resurfacing will take you under the good care of a good physical therapist. Dr Kim has a very good reputation among his pears. You are in good hands and he lives in your area. C+ 09/03 I am waiting for my first appointment with Dr.Kim in Ottawa Canada > to discuss Hip resurfacing. What should I ask him?I am a > total " newby " ,- that is I had never heard of hip resurfacing until > last month.
