Guest guest
Bob... For my money, your best bet is to contact the Joint Replacement Institute in LA...and Chuck , in particular. He's the Executive Director. I've been through the Bay Area resurf drill for the past couple of months, and NOBODY DOES IT HERE. I held out hope as long as I could. There are a couple of guys in SF who do hemi's, but nobody does a true resurf. Given the relatively progressive attitude of the Bay Area, this is something of a surprise, but there seems to be even an active hostility toward the concept of resurfacing here. You closest hope is Los Angeles. Many others in the group have already had their resurfs and will offer glowing testimony. I've only had my consultation and await word of whether my insurance will cover. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING I CAN SAY (AND I LIVE IN CONCORD, AND WORK IN SF) IS...FORGET THE BAY AREA. LOOK SOUTH FOR THE CLOSEST HOPE. OREGON, SEATTLE AND VANCOUVER BC ARE OTHER WEST COAST POSSIBILITIES. Do not give up and do not settle for THR unless there truly is no other hope. And don't rely on Bay Area docs to tell you where hope lies. All the best, Alan > Greetings, everyone - My first time posting.
