Sharon, have you tried anti inflammatories?  When I have that pain, that's what I used to take - that is until my doctor told me no anti-inflammatories anymore.Tina

 

My left ear is hurting and the pain goes down the left side of my neck.   I tried tylenol and it doesn't begin to touch the pain.  My left jaw is also aching.  I have a filled prescription of prednisone but I thought I would give it a day at least to see if the pain subsides on it's own. 

I have to feel better because tomorrow is my granddaughter, 's, 9th birthday.  I will make her a cake for tomorrow and then will make another cake for Saturday when we are having her party.  Tomorrow's cake will be simple and from a cake mix.  Saturday's cake will a special homemade chocolate cake with homemade frosting.  It's an old recipe of mine.

gifts.  I've been shopping for bargains for months!  This is our family " birthday season " .  It started in Aug with two grandkids birthdays, then two more grandkid birthdays this month and one next month on the 12th.

I remember several years ago, before I got my sinus surgery, I had basically an intractible sinus infection that was causing massive pain.  Not even Vicodin was touching the pain.  But the doctor's office took a chance, and prescribed Vicoprofen, even though a GI doc said I wasn't to have ibuprofen anymore, and that took care of it.  It was horrible sinus pain and TM pain.  I was sooo relieved when I had that sinus surgery - turns out polyps had developed in my sinus cavity.

I can't take any of the NSAIDS or aspirin at all.  I have an extreme stomach reaction to any of those drugs.  I sure wish I could though.  I know it would help a lot of my pain...

One of my grandsons () had surgery to removed nasal polyps last year. He had 22 polyps! The doc said he had never seen that many polyps before in one person, at one time.
