Guest guest
Deb, if you get a chance, you should add this and others to the new database Barb created Will do Lana. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Not been reading posts unless my name or subject is sticking out. Just too punkey to sit and read but feeling a bit better today. Another dr apt tomorrow and then hopefully no docs till after the conference. It is always something right? See you soon! Debbi Wrist fusion information? I was just wondering if anyone here had undergone a wrist fusion at all and could offer some information and advice on the procedure, recovery and management please. It is looking very likely that fusion becoming the best option for my chronically unstable left wrist as I am spending more time in casts than out with it dislocating and breaking so easily. I know it will mean a loss of mobility in my worst and hand, but at the moment I'm pretty much stuck in a fusion position from the constant casting anyway, so it wouldn't be much of a trade off really. I've already had my left MCP thumb joint fused and I'm managing okay with that, but I know that the wrist is a much bigger and more involved prospect. I don't particularly want it fusing obviously but a rigid joint I can use has to be better than weak untrustworthy or splinted/casted one. I'm seeing my OS on Wednesday and intend talking over the situation with him then. So any personal info and opinion good or bad would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
