Yes, Cait, it was a GOOD exhaustion:) I can't even describe how scrumptious the Sweet Corn is! It doesn't need butter at all --it is that good. The end of this month is the big Sweet Corn Festival. I used to love to go to the festival but I just don't have the strength or stamina any longer. granddaughter's birthday!

My granddaughter, Maya, turned 8 today! She is my youngest grandchild. We had a party here at my house. All 8 of my grandkids were here, at least for awhile. The oldest, , had to leave for work after a few hours. is 24. We had fried chicken, potato salad, chipotle macaroni salad, rolls and the best sweet corn in the world. Sweet Corn is grown near here and is is absolutely delicious. My daughter (Maya's mom) made an ice cream cake. It was spectacular

Maya had a wonderful day and she was full of smiles every time I looked at her.

I had a great time and enjoyed all the conversation, food and fun. I am exhausted!
