Guest guest
Thanks, am forwarding to her- but , one thing I really am curious about is if anyone on here has ever taken them and had side effects- I thank you for looking this up- as you got a different definition that I did, but I too- did look it up- what is scaring me, is she will be chit chatting away on the 2 way- and then be gone for a while and I'm thiking hmmmm her phone must have rang or someone came in etc- but she will buzz me oh gosh an hr later and say- what did you say last? I said ummmmm mom-? You spoke last - and didnt finish sentence so I figured you had company or the phone rang. She just again buzzed and this time told me she was going to lay down- her legs are still so swollen........... next appt is May 26th, which by the way , my dr was kind enough to switch my appt around to same day- due to the 30 min drive and both of us being so sick. So if he doesnt mind me being in when she is, I'll go in with her and visa versa then that way- we can remember what the other doesnt........ u know how that goes lol.............. Thanks again- Hugs- TJ Re: Has anyone Taken this stomach medication before? > Has anyone taken this medication for stomach troubles? > metoclopramide? For oral administration, reglanĀ® tablets (metoclopramide tablets, USP) 10 mg are white, scored, capsule-shaped tablets engraved REGLAN on one side and SP 10 on the opposite side. PATIENT INFORMATION Mental depression has occurred in patients with and without prior history of depression.Symptoms have ranged from mild to severe and have included suicidal ideation and suicide. Metoclopramide should be given to patients with a prior history of depression only if the expected benefits outweigh the potential risks. In one study in hypertensive patients, intravenously administered metoclopramide was shown to release catecholamines; hence, caution should be exercised when metoclopramide is used in patients with hypertension. Because metoclopramide produces a transient increase in plasma aldosterone, certain patients, especially those with cirrhosis or congestive heart failure, may be at risk of developing fluid retention and volume overload. If these side effects occur at any time during metoclopramide therapy, the drug should be discontinued. INFORMATION FOR PATIENTS Metoclopramide may impair the mental and/or physical abilities required for the performance of hazardous tasks such as operating machinery or driving a motor vehicle. The ambulatory patient should be cautioned accordingly.
