Protein Can Overcome Muscular Dystrophy Defect

dystrophy, HHMI researchers have found that they can restore normal muscle

function by expressing an enzyme that attaches sugar molecules to a protein

essential for proper muscle structure.

Research published in the June 6, 2004, issue of Nature Medicine and in the

June 3, 2004, issue of the journal Cell.
