She is almost five. She has what looks like very bad dandruff and the one spot

where her hair is coming out is the spot she showed me that she scratches the

most she scratches very vigorously. When she scratches her hair comes out on her

hand. I guess being a foster child she is under alot of stress.

Hi!

I had/have seborrheic dermatitis that itched like crazy and some of my hair fell

out....thought for sure I was going to go bald! Plus I had nasty dandruff.

Normally I never have these symptoms. It's like cradle cap.

I use a dandruff shampoo with zinc in it, and when it itches intensely use (a

prescription) betamethazone lotion on those spots.

My hair is growing back in again.

It also can be from stress.

There sure are number of causes for itching and bald spots! Guess the only way

to find out for sure, and find some relief for her is to see a doctor.

Thanks Bernie! I would have to use some kind of shampoo, as I use

hair spray - but I only wash my hair once or twice a week as well.
