Guest guest
Question: Why are ambulances exempt by the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards? I think school busses are exempt also. It is true that aren't any ambulance manufacturers that crash test any of their ambulances? This should be unacceptable to all of us in FD/EMS and the people that may have to ride in one of these potential " death traps. " I agree it's important that we go though our companies complete an ambulance drivers course, however, it's the people around us that smash into us. Maybe a PSA needs to go out each November to remind the people that drink and drive, to stay away from the ambulance, someone you might know, just might be the back. Just sayin.... For those keeping up with my daughter with Rhabdomyosarcoma, we are halfway through treatment program, and her sprits are high, and she is doing pretty well. If is on your prayer list, please keep them coming! Thanks. Ron just another paramedic
