Guest guest
Yes, Chato is a Great Pyrenees. He is huge and extremely gentle. When we saw him last he was 5 months old and the size of an extremely large full grown German Shepard. While my littlest grandkids played, Chato stood by and watched. He walked around with the kids but never played with them the way a 5 month old puppy would. When they ran he would run with them but never, ever knocked them down. Guest guest
My favorite dog...EVAH...was a brindle boxer female, about 85 lbs, named CHATA, which in Spanish means: 1 ~ pug-nosed and 2 ~ is an endearment. A guy might call his girl Chata in the same manner that in English he might call her sweetheart. ~*~Hugs~*~ ~*~Akiba~*~ Pragmatic Visionary http://www.affiliates-natural-salt-lamps.com/pages/156.php -- my sister-in-law's bookTo: "Group" <mserslife >Date: Saturday, July 23, 2011, 5:52 PM My sister-in-law, Trisha, has written a book called Wildfire! that will be out in August. Guest guest
And he is sooooooooo beautiful. I’ve never seen a white Pyrenees. Usually at the dog shows they are black, maybe some with rust and black. Known as the gentle giants, but very protective of their families. I’d like one, but Steve would be the one to take care of it, I would be the one to enjoy all of the rest, lol…. J I looked for the book, but it hasn’t been listed at Amazon yet even in new releases. I don’t read much anymore but I would buy Trishas book, and my granddaughters would love reading it too I’m sure. I read the intro and it stirred up my long desire to at least visit Alaska, but I doubt that will ever happen. I can always live vicariously thru others! Thanks for sharing this with us Sharon. Guest guest
Trisha and Chuck were going to move up when we were there to live on our 40 acres. But we decided to move back here and they couldn't give up their dream. They bought land about 5 miles from our old place near the Russian Village of Nikolaevsk. Here's a link:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikolaevsk,_AlaskaTrisha said the book will be available in August.
