I am on thyroid medication and dealing with the fact that I am disabled due to a doctor's negligence and that he lied to cover it up. (I am #$%* off). Not sure what I am going to do or what I will be able to do. My thyroid is fixable and I should be back to feeling good/better this next three months and maybe back to normal in the Spring. Guest guest
They used part of my esophagus instead of my stomach. Half of my 'pouch' is esophagus and with barrets, I can't have any of the normal procedures that would help me. Also, because it is my esophagus my stomach never stretched and became normal. Instead it is the size of a golf ball and food just funnels through to my intestinal tract with no stop for digesting. Then the doctor bypassed to much of my small intestine so I have low absorption. (far less than normal bypass patients). The worst part was that he (and other doctors) told me my illness as psychological or Fibromyalgia or both. I finally saw a picture and had one doctor explain to me I wasn't crazy and why I have been declining in health for the last 4 years:( Kay Re: Sharon's update on LIFE (all sorts of stuff) KAY What happened with the gastic bypass? Guest guest
I don't about other states, but here locally, unfortunately the Statue of Limitations on malpractice is 2 years. Not 2 years after you found out about it, but 2 years after the event happened. The finding out about has even gone to appeal and lost, unfortunately, because many people don't find out about negligence or malpractice for more than two years.
