Guest guest
What kind of dog do you have? There are a lot of dog people on this group:) I have 6 dogs in my house but only one is technically mine.Isn't it funny how the family splits off like that? I've experienced that as well. When we have family get togethers it is just my family. My daughter-in-law's family is in PA (thankfully;) and my son-in-laws family is 150 miles away. It sounds like you had a very good time! How funny Devin's reaction was!! I got a good chuckle out of that. hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. My brother had some fireworks that he got from a stand across the river in Missouri. Some of them were quite weak, or duds, even. But once it got close to dark he broke out the good ones. My brother's nephew, who really isn't that old, just started walking, took a shine to Devin, my oldest. Devin's 16 - so whenever this baby came charging at him babbling at him, he got this deer in the headlights look. It was absolutely adorable, but funny in the way Devin reacted. I told him, just talk to him, and he'd say, "um, hi?" Probably the best moment of the night came from that - the baby charged over to Devin, bumped himself on Devin's knees, and handed over his precious toy. Devin just sat there and shoved it back, and said, "here," but the baby kept babling away at him. Both my family and my brother's wife's family were there, but when we get together, it inevitably ends up with her family sitting in the kitchen, and our family in the living room.Poor dog has been freaking out because of all the fireworks in the neighborhood - when we came home we saw people lighting them off in the street! Guest guest
Dodger is an American Bulldog mix. He's a rescue, and even after he was rescued, the agency had trouble placing him because he wanted to sleep on the bed.....the people that he was placed with (twice) never thought about giving him his own bed, they just blocked him in the living room. Well, he wanted to sleep with someone, so he'd jump the gates. His first night home with us, he wanted to sleep in the bed, but we gave him his own bed, and from that time on, he's known he doesn't sleep on the bed when we're in it. My brother generally doesn't have a lot of get togethers, but if he has both families over, it's always like that. Although generally, I have to say my family is a bit insane. I generally don't host get togethers, and if I did, I wouldn't invite both my family and hubby's family as my parents don't like my in laws. They never did, lol. And my sister had a few family get togethers when her soon to be ex wasn't in prison, and it was cordial, but it had to be because Kim really only had one room for us to hang around - her living room and kitchen were one giant room, divided only a bit by a short little counter. Guest guest
Well Mad Max did it good – technically it was the Shetland Pony – she came into heat So she is going to the vet to get the problem taken care of – no more puppies – is still being dominating and Max is backing her up – they spend nights in the family room and peace reigns for a few hours WW III goes on when Mom and Dad come home – I decided to spend a quiet 4th at home with DVD’s “I Was A Male War Bride” Cary Grant and Ann Sheridan“Donovan’s Reef” the Duke and the usual cast of characters“ somethings gotta give ‘’ Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton – couldn’t quite get into it I watched “1776’’ on TCM – it was back in the day and all the actors could sing! – s as , Bensons Governor, the tall actor that played the basketball coach for high school kids was Tom Jefferson – it was great From: MSersLife [mailto:MSersLife ] On Behalf Of Tina SchmidtSent: Monday, July 04, 2011 11:19 PMTo: MSersLife Subject: Re: Tonight Dodger is an American Bulldog mix. Well, a big puppy. He's about three and half, and just starting to come out of the playful stage, kinda.Luckily the weather yesterday was nice and decent - a little humid, but we weren't covered in sweat while we were standing outside. Quite a different story today though. More running around with hubby, and I forgot to take my cane, and the heat did a number on me. After we got my new camera - the last stop we made - he asked if I wanted to do anything else, and I told him I would rather not, since I didn't have my cane, although I could have managed it on my cane, lol. Guest guest
He is. He's about 100 pounds, and very strong. I can't even take him for walks anymore because he pulls when he sees another dog because he wants to make friends! We ended up getting a point and shoot cannon with a zoom lens. NOthing too over the top, but it has image stabilization on it so if I get tremors it can even the picture out. Tina It looks like he is a pretty big boy and he looks muscular.
