Guest guest
Hi Phil They do exist - that is waiting lists for waiting lists. It is a ploy by NHS admin to keep a waiting list to a maximum of 6 months to cover their backsides. I had a letter advising that the waiting list was too long for an ear operation and they would put me on the list as soon as it was short enough. As I had a perforated cyst inside my ear I went back to my GP who expedited the matter. It certainly isn't all roses with the NHS but if you stand your corner then hindrances go away. I know it shouldn't be necessary but if you (or better still get someone else to do it for you) can irritate the right person they will want you off their back as quickly as they can.
