Well, now that we have the new furniture in the living room, and we have the final SSI backpayment, hubby decided it's time to "start on" the living room - we've been living here something like 7 years and only 1 room is finished, lol. So we've pulled the furniture out and started stripping wallpaper. The top layer is the heavy, textured wallpaper that my in-laws (who own the house) put in....upside down....and there is I think just one or two layers underneath that, except where the bay windows are, and that only has the one layer of wallpaper - the previous owners didn't want to mess with piecing the wallpaper together around the windows, so they just painted it white. Hubby's been doing most of the work, but we have two walls pretty much stripped. I scrubbed what I could reach of one wall today (he won't let me on a ladder) trying to get the remnants of the glue off, and in some places it just washed right off, and it was more

stubborn in other places. Hubby won't let us do much in the way of helping because he only has three putty knives - one he doesn't want to use because it's rusty, one he uses for stripping the wallpaper after it's been sprayed with the adhesive disolver solution, and the other one he wants to keep sharp, so he's only using that when he's getting the big chunks of dry wallpaper off. He's veeeerrrrry grumpy, and gripes about doing all the work, but he won't let us help, and I can only work on the walls when he starts the top section, because they need to be washed from the top down. Kinda like he gripes about having to do the cooking two days in a row (the grilling part) but he won't let me touch the grill, and besides, I'm inside making the pasta or the vegetable two days in a row, too.

Anyway, back to the living room. He wants to do it in halves. Once we get the half of the room done where the seating furniture is located, we'll prime those walls, and use our paint samples to figure out which color we like best, or if we like any of them, then we'll either use more samples, or we'll re-prime, then paint. Then hopefully early next week, we'll move the entertainment system out of the living room for the long haul (right now every day we are moving the sofa and loveseat back in at night) and do the rest of the room. Next week it's going to be a little more complicated because there are times he's going to HAVE to stop working because our oldest son's band camp starts, so he will need picked up for lunch and dinner break, then taken back, then picked up again at 8.

I have a dermatology appointment Friday, and I'm not really sure why. My neuro wanted me to have both an ophthalmology check and a dermatology check before I start on the Tysabri. Had the eye check, found out my glasses prescription from November (partial farsighted, partial nearsighted) was way wrong, and it's just plain nearsighted now, and a slight astigmatism. I just barely qualify for Medicaid to cover the glasses, but since it's Medicaid, it will take 6 - 10 weeks to get them in. But anyway, the dermatology appointment - again, not sure why I need to see her, but my primary doc wants her to look at a mole I've had every since I remember.

Then Monday, I see my neuro, hopefully start my washout period for the Tysabri. I have 10 days left of my Copaxone, and I don't want to have to pay for another month.Tina
