I need to post in. I too contacted Dr. DeSmet last Friday and asked

if I could get a date in Mid. Sept. I explained I needed to get him

my x-rays but wanted to get penciled in. Two Hours later the man

himself wrote back and asked how about Sept. 8, 28, or 29 sound? He

then wrote, " Cheers "

It looks like the 28th or 29th for me. I need to get x-rays from Dr.

Mont and send them to DeSmet. Nothing against Dr. Mont. He will

continue to be my local OS, however, I just figure its not worth

fighting the insurance company over and over again. It seems like

everyday that is all I think about. I need to turn the page and get

this thing done. Yes, I am appealing their denials but am headed to

Belgium where I am almost 100% sure I will be getting the resurfacing

without the chance of a THR when I awake.

I am very much interested in the recent post who said they got back

100% from their insurance. I was thinking 50 -75% if lucky and if I

did not get anything back I would still be happy because I would have

my new hip and be able to enjoy my Holidays this year with my two

children agaes 3 & 1. How did you request reimburs? Did you let

insurance company know you were going to Belgium before you went?

Also, does insurance pay for physical therapy when you get back to US?

Anyone else heading in Late September, let me know.

Steve
