Guest guest
Glad you're enjoying your time alone. Glad you got some rain to cool things off a bit. We've also cooled down as well and I'm feeling a lot more human! So whatcha reading? I'm reading Coulter's Whiplash right now... hugs, Cait Sharon's update It was 98 degrees here yesterday. I was dying a slow and very painful death:) Then the afternoon monsoon rolled in dumping a lot of rain to cool off the weather. The rain was wonderful! But the LIGHTENING was ferocious. It was hitting all around us and I thought it hit the barn but nothing caught fire, thankfully. Two of the dogs, Shiloh and Puddin', are deathly afraid of thunder so they required comfort from gramma:) I cooked a chicken breast in olive oil and garlic last night. I threw in some green peppers and onions to saute with it. It made a perfect dinner. This morning I had my usual yogurt and granola. I fed the poultry this morning and checked on the little orphan kitten. It’s doing good and is SO cute! White fluffy fur and pretty blue eyes. All is well in my world. I have been reading and did some dishes this morning. Otherwise I am leading a quiet life which makes for a very happy little vacation for me. hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
We had a deaf cat. He was white with green eyes, but genetics had nothing to do with it. The owners that had him before us turned on the stereo full blast and didn't realize he was napping behind the speaker. He was a great cat though. He got sick right around the time my brother moved out (1998). My mom thought he was pining for my brother (he used to sleep in his room) because he was losing weight, but it turns out it was kidney disease. He was the sweetest thing. But man, if his bowl was empty, he let you know it - he was louder than all get out. TIna Hope today is cooler and less lightning! Now I am reading "Skinwalkers" by Tony Hillerman. Have you ever read Hillerman? hugsSharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
I love Hillerman, though the last couple before he passed weren't quite up to the first ones... Margaret Coel is also a good read. And one of our friends from church, Curt Wendleboe, has written " Death Along The Spirit Road " , set on the Rosebud Rez - also good! :-D I used to read almost exclusively science fiction/fantasy, then somehow I shifted over to historical mysteries (Ellis s' " Brother Cadfael " , etc) and when I ran out of those, " interesting setting " mysteries... Two of the dogs, Shiloh and Puddin', are deathly afraid of thunder so they required comfort from gramma:)

Guest guest
I lived most of my life on the outskirts of Phoenix so I know something about 110 degrees! We had several months each summer of 110 or above. It wasn't unusual to have weeks of 115. It's miserable and I understand. Stay inside!hugsSharonThis email is a natural hand made product.
