Cindy, I would write a ltter to that doctor and to the administrator

of his practice! I think that's absolutely horrible! I can't

imagine them not telling you this!!!!

hurting, he fell on the High School bleachers. It really hurt him so

I took him in for x-rays. The report says he fractured his right

lateral aspect of the right transverse process of L 3. Sure would

have been nice of the Dr to tell us, don't ya think? His back hurt

him for 2 months. Guess she thought it wasn't important enough to

mention. I'm so glad we got away from that Dr. Urgggggg. she makes me

so mad!.

I absolutely see your point! I know what you mean about being tired

and choosing your battles. I'm sure you understand where I'm coming

from as well. Like you said, be grateful you left her, and I guess

it cautions all of us not to ever be too trusting of the medical

profession - as if we were anyway, right?? :)

I'm tired. I don't know. I'm just glad we left her.

Oh my gosh Cindy, that is disgraceful!! I am so angry that you and

Dylan had to go through so much at the hands of this doctor...I'm

sure she's the Sister incarnate of my local nightmare GP! I'm gald

that you are finally free of her darl and hope that the NIH will

bring you answers and closer to solutions. hang in there and know

you and Dylan are firmly in my thoughts and prayers always.

Love and hugs....Jo

Hi dear Cindy-roomie,

I get so maaad for you and Dylan when I read this!!!! Some of these

docs can't have an IQ much higher than their shoe size, that is for

sure... How disrespectful not informing you about such an important

finding... It is downright mean and disrespectful not to tell a

patient and the parents about such a finding. They might not be able

to do anything but recommend rest, but that is not the point. When

you have that kind of pain, and there is a reason for it, you have

the right to know... There's some real stupid docs out there. I

managed to go diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis for 5 years myself

without knowing it. I only found out when I was 22 that I had already

got the diagnosis at 17 yrs of age. They never told me, it wasn't

until a doc on a treatment trip diagnosed me, and I went back and

told my doc, he told me, and the stupid guy then looked back in my

file, and said to me that it was noted back then.... I went 5 years

with all that pain, and could have had a name for it (even if the PA

was only part of my pain, but at least having that diagnosis would

have been such a relief).....

Send a complaint....

hugs,

Aase Marit :)

Cindy,

After using a tens unit one day, I had SEVERE pain in my low back. By chance

the doctor had an x-ray taken a few days later---told me it was ok- only later

when reading results did I learn the facet had fractured (on my spine). Really

ticked me off.

By this time, I'd already stopped seeing this particular doctor.

You fractured you back from the tens unit?!?!?!?!?!?
