The newspaper doesn't even begin to scratch the surface here. Lots of politics

on all sides. The county is worried about response times. There are some

outside players who've proposed going to an outside contractor at some point for

the county. Some of the county fire chiefs would like to be able to provide

paramedic level first response. The relevant unions are all in arms to protect

their various fiefdoms.

And sadly, we forget about the patients.
