I have AVN in my right hip and osteoperosis to boot. Am waiting for a surgery date and have been looking for more in depth info on surgery procedures. Guest guest
Hi Resurfacing in AVN can be done by a good surgeon even if 40% of the femoral head is destroyed! We do it all the time. Guest guest
Hi Dr. Pispati...thanks for the vote of confidence on AVN. My right hip has been 2/3 affected however the surgeon feels that that is acceptable. Just have to wait for a surgery date. Is there a great blood loss during surgery?? Should I consult my surgeon about pooling my own blood for the surgery?? Can you give me more details about the procedure?? Any info would be VERY helpful. Thanks..
