Can you still get Bursitis after resurfacing?

Along with my AVN and OA (all on my Left side, fortunately), I've had

quite a bit of Bursitis in my Greater Trochanter. In fact, this was

my original problem that when it didn't get better, gave me a reason

to have the first MRI & X rays a year ago. It was that recently that I

discovered the more serious problem.

I'm getting resurfaced on August 11th. :)!

Since they only put the prosthesis on the Femoral Head, the acetabulum

is still intact. What happens to the Bursa? Is it still there? Can

I still get Bursitis?

Long before the hip joint was really affected, I couldn't lay on my

left side due to the bursitis.

Does anyone have experience with this?

Marie
