Guest guest
Just my opinion......this seems like a very socialist agenda. Charging out-of-towners a fee, based on their residency within the U.S.? Seems to me, that if someone passing through,... caused an accident, the U.S. Constitution already provides for relief for that. " Culpability " Â coug.. Guest guest
On the other hand if I live in A local I pay taxes. When I moved to Texas I was livid that I was expected to pay a fee for my trash can to be collected. In NJ my property tax paid for that. Then I looked at my property tax here and saw why. I've got mixed feelings on charges like these. Louis N. Molino, Sr. CET FF/NREMT/FSI/EMSI Typed by my fingers on my iPhone. Please excuse any typos. Guest guest
When I lived in Rosharon, yes, I had to PAY for trash pick up. We ended up just making a deep trash burning pit. But... My house (Currently vacant) in Houston,....the water bill pays the trash pick up. They charge me 12.00 a month, even though no water is being used, and there is no trash to pick up. BUT...if I lived there, the water bill covers the trash bill. I guess it is Dependant on City Rules. Rosharon was not an actual " City " . No police Dept, no " city works " everything was private services. And a VFD. They took a look at that house and said " Lets hope there is never a fire here, we dont have ladders that will reach the roof. " Â Water well, septic tank, Country living is VERY different. Rosharon was serviced by Brazoria County Sheriff's Dept. Where I live now, is sort of in the middle, we have service from Ft. Bend Co. EMS, but the police service is Ft. Bend CONSTABLE's office, not Sheriff or Sugar Land PD. Services vary on your geographical location. Coug I'll keep my Guns, my Freedom and my MONEY, You can keep the " CHANGE.
