We have bear hunting here so hunters can get a permit to go on a bear hunt. If a bear is attacking we can shoot it if we are fast enough. The problem is that bears are really, really fast. The officials did hunt that bear down and killed it. It was still close by. The tested the bear and it had parts of the woman on/in it so they got the right bear. Usually a bear that is a nuisance will be relocated but a bear that is aggressive is almost always killed.Bears are not cute and cuddly. Live bears are not cute little stuffed teddy bears. ..I hope it doesn't sound 'wrong' but I'm glad she was in a coma when she passed . Can you shoot bears in the US. Here the stupid law stopped bear hunting and they've become dangerous rather than just a nuisance. A woman here was attacked by one in her backyard and a paperboy luckily escaped from one .... hugs, Cait

Bear attack victim dies

The woman who was attacked by the bear close to me died last night. She had gone through numerous surgeries and was in an induced coma. Since I had told everyone about it when it happened I thought I should send this sad update.
