Emergency Vehicle Operations in a School Zone

Hello Everyone,

I did a search and found a topic on this from 2004, but figured I would ask

again in case anything has changed and I missed it.

Is there any regulation on Emergency Vehicle Operations in a School Zone? I know

that said activities can be regulated by a municipal ordinance, and many

departments regulate it in their own operational policies as part of their risk

control program, but is there any STATE LAW regulating this? I've heard so many

different variations on the State Law of this, yet I know of no exceptions to

Texas Transportation Code Sec 546.002 relating to this matter.
