Guest guest
, I really hope you see some results. Risperdal is a lifesaver here. I panic if the doc even hints around about cutting it out. My life has changed so much for the better since starting it, and so has Ebony's. She just doesn't have the moods like before and we haven't seen any self injurious behaviors since starting it either. Good luck to you guys. Guest guest
Okay, so by my previous post, you know that Devin seems to be on a med that will help him sleep. If after a week at this dose (50 mg - half a tablet...coincidentally the dose his brother is on) its not doing enough, we can raise it to 100 mg (the dose I'm on). Like I said in my post before, little Calvin Hagenback finally got to go home. Evidently his case is making headlines up there in Wisconsin, as he's had pro athletes visiting him while in the hospital, and a Minnesota Vikings player visited at him at home today! Prayers for Calvin's facebook page has been visited and is being followed all over the world! Hopefully, either his community and/or the church his father preaches at will be doing fundraising for the family, as his medical bills will be high - a helicopter life flight from Appleton to Madison, 12 days in the ICU, 12 days out of the ICU, PT, OT, and the PT and OT are continuing after release. Actually, I'm surprised that my sister wasn't following it, as she is such a believer in the power of prayer, and Calvin's grandfather is a friend of our dad's, and a friend of my sister is related to them. But one never knows. Friday, we found out a friend of my husband's that he grew up with (who he hasn't had contact with in probably about 18 years) died. He was probably the best friend my husband had at a certain point. But he was troubled then, and the troubles didn't ease up. No fatal car accidents in the paper, no medical associations or anything for memorials to go to....so of course we suspected drugs. Unfortunately, the next day, a friend of mine confirmed it - she at one point in time dated Kenny's brother, and was still good friends with him, and was with him when he found Kenny. THEN we found out about what Kenny's family had turned into.....his mom has Parkinson's and early onset Alzheimers, his dad is currently in a nursing home for a broken leg and suspected dementia. An aunt moved in to help with the mom. Kenny's brother Mike was pretty much running the show, trying to keep the family together (and 20 years ago, everyone thought he would be the problem one). My friend doesn't like being around the mother, because my friend's name is the same as Kenny's sister, who committed suicide in her teens, and the mother gets confused and thinks that it's her Holly, not my friend. But, hubby couldn't face going to the funeral yesterday He would rather remember his friend as he was, not what he turned into, I suppose. But I've been wearing myself out being there for him this weekend. He's had to do it for me enough. Right now I'm still angry at my neuro's office. I called them again today, and supposedly they had JUST heard from St. 's request for orders today. I'm exactly one week late on my Tysabri infusion, which means all of this about getting my infusions transferred to St. 's in Belleville has taken over a month, and now I'm started to feel effects from missing it. I never get the burst of energy people talked about after getting the infusion, or the subsequent lack of energy the week before the infusion, but now, I'm just exhausted without doing anything other than comforting my husband, and I'm just sore as all get out, and adding migraines to the mix. I don't really know who I should blame for this foul up, Biogen, the doctor's office, I don't know. Biogen was supposed to make sure the doctor's office sent the orders to St. 's, but St. 's didn't even inform Biogen that they hadn't received the orders until the 4th (I had my last infusion October 7th, and you are supposed to be able to do an infusion 5 days on either side of the infusion date). I don't even know when my doctor's office got the request for orders - if it was originally from Biogen after my October infusion, or if St. 's just never bothered requesting them. But at least they are faxed over now, and St. 's is supposed to be calling me tomorrow.....but it's going to be hard to schedule, as I can't go earlier than 9:30, and no later than 12:30, since with my mother in law having knee replacement surgery on Thursday, my father in law can't really leave her to take the kids to school or pick them up, as she's in a wheelchair (another point, against medical advice, mother in law went up the stairs at home the other day.....probably to bathe, but she's not supposed to be weight bearing....enough that hubby is making Thanksgiving dinner at their house). Well, that brings me to another tangent....truthfully, my mother in law should be UPSTAIRS rather than downstairs, as they have only a 1/4 bath downstairs, and upstairs she has one of those walk in whirlpool tubs....but she wants to sleep in her recliner (god awful uncomfortable, but it's one that lifts you out of the chair), rather than in bed or on the couch in her bedroom. So my father in law is stuck sleeping on couch downstairs (I feel really bad for him right now....he always had his Thursday nights out at the Sportsman's Clubs, but can't do that while she's convalescing....he actually called hubby yesterday to talk...I think he's going stir crazy). I know my sister in law drives my mother in law crazy, but I hope my brother in law and sister in law come for Thanksgiving, to give my father in law someone else to talk to, and it would hurt my mother in law's feelings if they didn't. Hubby and I are too attached to his parents - we rent from them, they helped us buy our most recent car, they live a BLOCK away, literally, they could see into my son's bedroom if it weren't for blinds, but hubby's brother and his wife have distanced themselves, probably because mother in law never likes any of brother in law's wives. I think that's it for now!Tina

Guest guest
I'll be thinking about you, Tina. I hope you get your infusion quickly and without any further problems! I'm sorry to hear of the death of your husband's friend and all his family is going through. That's really tough.hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product.
